Greetings and salutations STEM Learners!
You are receiving this email because you are on my STEM Exploration 3-5 2020-2021 fall semester roster. If you haven't already paid the class tuition, the you should've received an email from me earlier today. Otherwise if you didn't, you're all set! Please read this email to its entirety as it contains important information for you and your student to know before class begins!
1. Meet the Teacher
My name is Hanson Dai (aka Mr. Hanson) and I'll be your student's teacher for this class this school year. It's very nice to see old and new names on the roster. I'm very excited and looking forward to working with you all! For more detailed information about me and my teaching work, please visit my website: mrhansondai.com In addition, you can find my contact information below. Feel free to add me and/or reach out to me for any questions, comments, or concerns!
Cell Phone/WeChat: (425) 395-6120 (texts only please!)
2. About the Class
This is a BRAND NEW class at NWCS, and I'm working very hard to provide the best educational experience I can to your student! This class went very well when I taught it this past summer!
Time: Fridays starting 9/18/2020 (NWCS calendar applies)
Class Sessions: 32 (16 per semester), 50 minutes each time (4:00pm-4:50pm)
Class sessions will be done through Zoom. I will send out the recurring Zoom meeting invitation link prior to when the first class session begins. Please keep your eye out for that.
Homework will be accomplished online through a learning management system called TeacherEase and Google Drive. You should have received an email earlier today with directions on setting up your student's own personalized login for TeacherEase. As for our class Google Drive, you'll receive detailed information on that after the first class session.
3. A Few Homework Assignments DUE BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS!
Log on to TeacherEase and you'll see the assignments and their directions. There are 3 and they are all due before the start of the first class!
PLEASE NOTE that students are not required to purchase any workbook and/or textbook for this class. I will provide all the learning resources and materials they need in order to be successful in this course. However, I would like students to have a brand new notebook (spiral or composition) ready by the first class session so that they can take notes during class.
That's all for this email. I will be sending out more emails in the next few days and weeks, so please keep your eye out for those!
Have a great weekend and maybe I'll see you at NWCS's open house this Saturday!
Mr. Hanson Dai
